We’re Celebrating Military Appreciation Month at Virginia Tire & Auto

Military auto discounts.

Virginia Tire & Auto would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to military veterans and those who currently serve our country. In honor of your commitment and bravery, May is Military Appreciation Month at Virginia Tire & Auto.

For the entire month of May, we are running a promotion where customers can get 10% off services and tires when they present a valid military ID to a sales associate during service.

To celebrate Military Appreciation Month, we interviewed a few of our own veteran employees.

Jake Zietlow, a Sales Associate at our One Loudoun location, served in the Air Force for six years. One of the most important lessons he learned? Take pride in what you do.

“One thing that they preach in the military is that even if you don’t think your job is important, it is – and you are needed. I’ve learned to do my job to the best of my ability and take pride in what I do,” he explains.

Jake also notes that certain character strengths he developed in the military have helped him throughout his career in the automotive industry. He started at Virginia Tire & Auto two-and-a-half years ago as a General Service Technician. Now in his role as a Sales Associate, Jake says he especially recognizes the importance of responsibility and punctuality because of his experience in the Air Force.

We also spoke with Steve Roland, General Manager at Virginia Tire & Auto and veteran of the Marine Corps. As the manager of five Virginia Tire & Auto locations, Steve reiterates the importance of living out the values he developed in the military throughout his personal and professional life. He especially emphasizes the notion of loyalty and service.

“At Virginia Tire & Auto, we have a deep sense of loyalty to our service members, current and past. This applies to both employees and customers. We are dedicated to helping our customers get where they need to be in their day-to-day lives. As for our employees who have served, we prioritize their personal and professional growth as much as possible,” Steve says.

We’re proud to employ more than 20 veterans and active-duty service members who continue to serve customers day in and day out.
