Virginia Tire & Auto LLC has added to its footprint with the addition of a location in Herndon, Va.
The new store, which is located at 199 Elden Street, is Virginia Tire’s 16th location. It has 11 service bays and offers a comfortable waiting area, complimentary refreshments, free Wi-Fi, a kids’ play area and other customer amenities. “For longer visits, customers can take advantage of Virginia Tire & Auto’s free shuttle service and loaner cars,” say company officials. To celebrate the store’s opening, the Fairfax, Va.-based dealership is offering a $20 discount on oil changes through Nov. 30.
Mike Holmes, Virginia Tire’s co-CEO, says his company is eager to get involved with the Herndon community. “We look forward to giving back to the community where our customers and staff live, work and play.”
Virginia Tire & Auto is involved with a number of initiatives in other communities where it has a presence. These include an automotive internship for students at Fairfax (Va.) County Schools and Wheels For Work, a program which provides free automotive repair service to low-income families. The dealership also offers monthly car seat clinics, during which child passenger safety experts inspect car seats and tech parents how to properly install and use child restraints.
Virginia Tire & Auto is the 71st largest independent tire store chain in the United States, according to the 2019 Modern Tire Dealer 100.

Virginia Tire & Auto is now open at 199 Elden Street in Herndon.
The company, which has 16 locations and first opened up shop in 1976, offers automotive maintenance, repair and tire services.
The 11-bay facility will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. It includes a kids’ play area, free WiFi, refreshments and a waiting area.
Mike and Julie Homles, CEOs of the company and also husband and wife, say they’re excited about expanding their footprint in Fairfax County.
