Patch | New Vienna Business to Hold Block Party with Redskins Player

VIENNA, VA — Virginia Tire & Auto, a business owned by a Madison High School graduate and his wife, will mark the grand opening of its flagship Vienna location with a free block party. It will be held on Thursday, July 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 141 Maple Avenue West.

Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan will be on hand for autographs and photos. There will also be free food and drinks from local Vienna businesses, a bounce house, face painting, music, games, giveaways and more. Ledo’s Pizza, Skorpio’s Maggio’s Family Restaurant, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Kiln & Custard will provide food, while Caboose Brewing Company will have complimentary beer tastings.

“We are thrilled to have Ryan Kerrigan help us celebrate the grand opening of our flagship location,” says Julie Holmes, president of Virginia Tire & Auto. “Vienna is a special place for our company and for my family, and we’re so excited for the chance to meet our new neighbors and spend time with old friends.”

The parking lot at 100-112 Maple Avenue East will be available for the event (enter on Center Street), and there will be a designated drop-off and pick-up area at the store entrance.

Virginia Tire & Auto provides full-service automotive maintenance, repair and tire services. The company’s CEO, Mike Holmes, is a longtime Vienna resident and graduated from James Madison High School. He, his wife Julie, their five children and his parents live in Vienna.
