Virginia Tire & Auto Opens First Location in Chesterfield County

Northern Virginia-based Virginia Tire & Auto has opened its first location in the Richmond area and its 15th overall. The auto repair and maintenance and tire shop opened Jan. 16 at 7501 Harpers Green Way in Chesterfield County. It’s the company’s first location outside of Northern Virginia.

Company chairman Myron Boncarosky founded the business in 1976, starting with a Shell gas station in Fairfax and expanding to multiple full-service gas station across Northern Virginia. Boncarosky’s daughter Julie Boncarosky Holmes is company president and her husband, Mike Holmes, is CEO.

The new location is in The Shoppes at Harper’s Mill shopping center at Otterdale Road and Hull Street Road. The auto shop will employ 20 people when fully staffed. The company is opening two more locations this year – one in each Herndon and Vienna in Northern Virginia. Another location has not been announced.
