Our career development programs operate through Virginia Tire & Auto University (VTAU), a blended education model that offers in-person classroom learning, hands-on practical training and on-demand video classes.

Our mission is to provide our technicians, sales team and managers with practical training, opportunities to learn from the experts, and access to tools and resources. Training begins on Day 1 and is regularly available and a part of the culture at Virginia Tire & Auto.

Training the Trade.

Our Youth Registered Apprenticeship Program is registered with the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry.

Our Youth Apprenticeship allows high school students interested in a career in automotive repair to learn on the job. Students 17+ years of age who are enrolled in their school’s automotive technology program can work at Virginia Tire & Auto to receive work-based learning that counts towards their graduation requirements. The apprenticeship integrates school-based and work-based learning to expose students to all aspects of auto care and provides opportunities to work with skilled technicians and apply what is learned in school in a real-world, hands-on setting.
