BRISTOW, Va. (July 8, 2016) — As Virginia Tire & Auto prepares to mark its 40th anniversary, the dealership has opened its 13th retail store.
The newly constructed 10,000-sq.-ft. full-service center in Bristow is the dealership’s second Prince William County location. A grand-opening event is planned for Aug. 25, during which time Virginia Tire will welcome racing legend Mario Andretti, who will meet with fans and sign autographs.
Prior to the grand-opening, the Bristow store will commemorate Virginia Tire’s 40th anniversary with a birthday party event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 29, offering food and family-friendly entertainment.
“As Virginia Tire & Auto expands further into northern Virginia, we continue to deliver the exceptional customer service and matchless experience my father began in 1976,” said President Julie Holmes.
“We are honored and humbled that for 40 years our customers have relied on our commitment to car care service at all of our locations.”
Virginia Tire did not disclose its investment in the new outlet, which features 11 service bays and offers extended hours as well as free WiFi, a kids’ play area, shuttle service and loaner cars. Store manager Ben Wilson leads the location’s approximately 20 employees, including its ASE-certified technicians.
The new store is equipped with Hunter Engineering Co.’s Revolution Tire Changer and Quick Check Alignment Machine for automated measuring of tire tread, quick verification of wheel alignment and wireless diagnostic checks, Virginian Tire said.
The dealership chose to build in Bristow because of the area’s “attractive demographics and we did not have a presence yet in that community,” a spokeswoman told Tire Business.
